With a view to develop inquiry into the impact of broadband in the economic development of society, RISE intends to identify command areas which have been provided with broadband footprints in the recent past and examine and establish connection between broadband and the economic growth of the society as well as the individuals in this command area.
The research vertical would encourage university post graduate and doctoral students to take up projects for examining issues like internet and job enhancement or income enhancement, raising expectations, goal setting, individual competitive strength and achievement levels for the employment of individuals in the command area.
The output of such research is intended to be put up for broad-based consultations amongst stakeholders by way of organising stakeholders’ conferences and seminars which would agitate such issues as have been taken up through this research and would pave the way for authentic conclusion of each of these issues.
